PET Lead Technologist - Radiology - ( 26002448 ) Description The University of Iowa Health Care department of Radiology is seeking a PET Lead Technologist. This position will assist the Clinical Chief and the members of the Radiology department in provision of efficient and safe patient care. Provide supervision for daily operations within PET Center. Duties Include: · Provide Specialty Patient Care: o Perform complex PET examinations. Demonstrate and display a thorough knowledge of PET tracers and their relation to molecular physiological functions. o Evaluate equipment performance, recognize image artifacts, and initiate corrective action, when needed. o Develop PET examinations, create written protocols and scanning parameters. o Develop, implement and evaluate technology required for new procedures. o Troubleshoot computer or equipment malfunctions. o Interact professionally with patient/family. Provide liaison between medical staff and patients, patients’ families, and hospital staff. o Perform duties of Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET). o Monitor equipment and coordinate repairs o Play an active role in monthly technologist meeting. o Models service excellence key b...
