Job description

Within the Fundraising Unit at VHIR, we are seeking a Fundraising Officer to cover a maternity leave. The Fundraising Officer plays a key role in supporting fundraising efforts through the management of solidarity initiatives promoted by families, companies, patient associations, foundations, individuals, and other organisations. The role also serves as a point of contact for researchers, providing guidance on fundraising in line with VHIR’s strategy, and promoting legacy giving as a fundraising channel. The overall objective is to increase Unit revenue, build donor loyalty, and strengthen relationships with researchers. Main responsibilities and duties: Management of solidarity initiatives: Respond to emails and calls regarding solidarity initiatives, explain procedures and provide support. Register and track promoters in the database. Support initiative promoters in implementing their actions and follow up with collaborators. Coordinate the delivery of support materials for each initiative. Oversee the closing of initiatives (visits, symbolic cheque presentations, thank-you activities, etc.).
