We are seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in providing support and care to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with diverse needs and be committed to promoting independence and enhancing quality of life for our residents. Skills: Responsibilities: Qualifications: Ideally a female due to personal care needs. Schedule 6 42.5 hrs & 2 sleepovers a fortnight - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively as part of a team - Empathy and understanding towards individuals with disabilities - Strong problem-solving abilities - Ability to remain calm under pressure - Provide direct care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and recreational activities - Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team - Monitor resident progress and report any concerns or changes in behavior to supervisory staff - Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents - Assist residents in developing independent living s...
