Weather Technician - SFRC Contract

Job description

Amentum is seeking a Weather Systems Technician for the Space Force Range Contract. Typical Duties: Operate, maintain, and repair Weather Tower instrumentation, Doppler Radar Wind Profilers, Lightning Detection systems, Rawinsonde/Radiosonde systems, Ocean Surveillance Radar RF and control systems, subsystems and components. Displays a thorough understanding of weather sensor systems and radar systems. Good record keeping and verbal communications skills. Works well independently and in a team environment. Other duties as assigned: Minimum Requirements: Two or more years of applicable experience in electronics and electrical theory or applicable range experience desired. Associate degree in electronic technology, or two (2) year technical school, or equivalent military experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience Computer operation and software skills to maximize productivity software and data systems. Ability to work independently while in a team environment satisfactorily complete daily tasks, solve technical problems and deal with variable situations where multiple standards may exist.
