The successful applicant will have a keen eye for a good story and be focused on growing our online audience. This exciting role involves using up-to-the minute statistics to guide our news coverage and the ability to 'sell' our stories online, as well as an in-depth understanding of the importance of SEO, video, social media and audience analytics. Key Responsibilities: Working alongside two other news editors and reporting directly to the Regional Editor, the successful candidate will either be a proven news editor at a similar-sized title or a top journalist looking for a step-up into management. From leading our morning news conference to reacting to breaking news, coordinating our newsletters, editing copy and mentoring our reporters, this is a varied role at the heart of our news operation.
