Job description

Position Summary An Employment Specialist works directly with NH Vocational Rehabilitation, Medicaid clients and students to provide comprehensive, person-centered support, assisting them to enter or re-enter the workforce. This includes helping clients identify career goals, assessing skills and interests, developing personalized employment plans and supporting them onsite once they have been placed or at work-based learning experiences. The Employment Specialist empowers clients to achieve meaningful, sustainable employment outcomes and career exploration. Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach are essential in ensuring success. In addition, the Employment Specialist also serves as a forward-facing professional to employers and community partners. The candidate must be comfortable engaging with high-level business leaders as a peer and consultant and must have the confidence to cold call businesses to create and develop new relationships.
