Ready to support festival operations from above? Join the Crew at Shambhala Music Festival as an Advanced Drone Pilot! Position Dates: Drone Pilot positions work during the festival week from Jul. 20-27, 2026, on the event site near Salmo, BC. The Advanced Drone Pilot plays a key role in providing aerial support for on-the-ground teams, management, and dispatch. They’ll assist in situational awareness, crowd monitoring, emergency response coordination, and help us see what can’t be seen from the ground. Roles and Responsibilities: Operate drones in accordance with Transport Canada’s Advanced Operations regulations. Provide real-time aerial support for festival security, safety, and dispatch teams. Utilize drones equipped with thermal imaging to assist with nighttime monitoring and search scenarios. Communicate effectively with dispatch, medical, security, and operations teams. Ensure all drone operations are conducted in full compliance with Transport Canada regulations and the conditions of the Special Flight Operations Certificate (SFOC).
