Job description
Purpose This position provides leadership, expertise, training, and guidance to Regional Field staff, Store Managers, Meat Cutters and store associates on all phases of perishable operations with a special emphasis on meat operations, including product knowledge, ordering product, cold chain, management, quality assurance, food safety, sanitation, shrink control, product merchandising, COOL program compliance and managing a profitable department. Responsible for analyzing department performance; developing and executing effective plans meant to improve department sales and profitability. Responsibilities: - Provide leadership and training to store management and staff, inclusive of hands-on demonstration, on all facets of store perishable operations. Focus on Meat Cutting and Meat Merchandising training to maximize sales and profitability. - Ensure that Meat Cutter training is conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures at individual store locations and across the Region. - Lead the implementation and use of Best Methods and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures as established by the company for perishable and meat cutting programs in stores.
