Job description

Purpose of the Position: The Electrician II provides essential technical expertise to the UAH Facilities & Operations department, overseeing the complex electrical infrastructure that powers our academic and research community. Beyond standard installation and repair, this position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of electrical circuitry and equipment across a diverse portfolio of campus buildings and grounds. Duties / Responsibilities: Systems Installation & Infrastructure: - Install and troubleshoot indoor/outdoor lighting infrastructure. - Install, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of electrical systems and components, including clocks, ballasts, lamps, electrical panels, circuits, outlets, switches, and electrical circuitry. - Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced electricians, performing quality control checks on work in progress. - Perform all other duties as assigned.
