Job description

Overview Location: New London Corps, Red Shield Youth Center Hours Per Week: 15: Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm-6:00 pm: Scope of Position: Serve as a positive Christian role model in the lives of children. Create and maintain a safe physical and emotional environment, directly supervise children during program hours, and assist with planning and implementing program areas. Responsibilities: - Assist in creating and implementing programs that enhance youth members’ spiritual, physical, and emotional development. - Attend and chaperone Corps, Divisional, and Territorial retreats and events. - Complete accident or incident reports, in accordance with procedures. - Complete any required or mandated training and professional development. - Complete daily reports on department activities and attendance. - Develop and maintain contacts with young adults and teens at local colleges and high schools, where permitted. - Develop and maintain practical approaches to fostering solid Christian living among children, teens, and younger adults. - Engage and inform parents about community resources, opportunities, and youth members’ expectations. - Help with summer Vacation Bible School outreach...
