A Brief Overview: As a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, the clinical pharmacist provides the full range of distributive, clinical, consultative, research, and/or administrative pharmaceutical services. Incumbents select, compound, manufacture, purchase, dispense, and/or preserve drugs, medicines, and other therapeutic agents; serve as members and consultants on treatment or diagnostic teams; disseminate drug information to members of the hospital staff and interested community groups; may participate in hospital research projects or perform pharmaceutical research.
