Technician, Materials Management

Job description

Overview The Technician, Materials Management performs general materials management functions in support of Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline’s work sites. The Technician I position handles basic assignments while receiving direction from the supervisor and teammates. This includes receiving, inspection, storage, handling, shipping, expediting, and preparing of products for delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly manner. This position communicates daily with Southern Star office personnel, field personnel, and external suppliers to resolve material related deficiencies and ensure customer satisfaction. This position uses financial systems and maintain electronic and paper files and records. Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to): Master Data Management - Providing material master data setup, validations, and periodic maintenance - Ensuring data quality, compliance, and consistency of material master data across business systems - Working with business units and process experts to resolve master data issues Warehousing: - Ensure warehouse facility is free of any unsafe working conditions - Receive, store, and issue equipment,...
