Job description

The Waste, Streets & Recycling (“WSR”) Assistant Manager assists in developing and implementing procedures for disposing of waste, hazardous waste, hazardous recycling, recycling, and contaminated materials per governmental regulations and University goals. The WSR Assistant Manager assists in developing systems to track, purchase, and care for all waste, streets, and recycling duties and infrastructure, including parking lots, snow and ice control, street sweeping, and recycling collection. The WSR Assistant Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of the equipment, employee time management, purchases, requisitions, and management support. The WSR assistant manager is responsible for filling in for the manager, supervisors, and CDL drivers in the event of an absence and any time the need is presented. Working independently and as a team, exercising good judgment and discretion is essential to this job.
