Job Description On June 16, 2022, Governor Kathy Hochul signed the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust Act, which authorized the creation of the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust (the Trust). The Trust is a public benefit corporation that will oversee the renovation and rehabilitation of the City’s public housing developments, owned by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). NYCHA will remain the permanent owner of the land/buildings and will enter a long-term ground lease with the Trust to secure Section 8 vouchers. The selected Assistant Housing Manager will be a NYCHA employee assigned to Nostrand Houses and will support the management of the development on behalf of the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust. Under the direction of the Property Manager, and with latitude for independent action and decision-making, the Assistant Housing Manager will perform work of moderate difficulty and responsibility in the administration and management of NYCHA’s housing program under the Trust and the Project-Based Section 8 program.
