Description GENERAL SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Director Affiliate is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of their pharmacy. They ensure that all staff members are performing their jobs effectively and that customer service standards are being met at all times. Requirements: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Maintaining relationships with various regulatory bodies including state boards of pharmacy and federal agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). - Ensuring that pharmacy staff members within the affilliate are properly trained in accordance with state regulations. - Providing consultation services to physicians regarding medications and treatment options for patients. - Establishing policies and procedures for the operation of the Affilliate Pharmacy Department. - Manage medication inventory, ordering, and receiving processes to ensure an adequate supply of medications while minimizing waste. - Managing staff members in the Affiliate Pharmacy Department, including hiring, training, scheduling, and disciplining. - Providing counseling services to patients regarding their medication use. - Ensuring t...
