The incumbent will be required to produce maps, plats, and exhibits of the marine environment for the entire agency. This position will support all agency functions. The Habitat Division relies on spatial data for habitat mapping and restoration projects. Law Enforcement utilizes GIS for patrol planning and resource allocation. The Shellfish and Fisheries Divisions depend on geospatial data for managing aquaculture leases, assessing fish stocks, and monitoring fishing activity.
