Job Description The Role: The Maintenance Lead – Battery Cell Development Center is a hands-on role focused on maintenance and uptime of production equipment and ancillary systems at GM’s Ancker-Johnson Battery Cell Development Center (BCDC). The role plans and coordinates maintenance activities, working closely with Technical Operations Specialists, engineering, and operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of advanced battery cell manufacturing equipment and supporting utilities in a fast-paced, non–steady-state environment. What You'll Do: Safety & Compliance: Champion a strong safety culture aligned with GM and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, lockout/tagout, hazardous energy, DG where applicable). Ensure maintenance activities follow safe work practices, permits; support audits and incident investigations. Maintenance Planning & Execution: Coordinate and dispatch daily maintenance work (preventive, predictive, and corrective) across cell manufacturing assets (e.g., mixing, coating, calendering, assembly, formation, test, utilities).
