Full-Time Nights 6p-6a JOB SUMMARY: Assists with basic patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of the registered nurse. Maintains an environment that is safely prepared for patient care. Responsible for attending and phlebotomy services during codes. Responsible for safely and aseptically drawing blood cultures as well as other phlebotomy specimens as directed. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Provides supportive care to the Medical Surgical and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients under the direct supervision of the nurs - Measures, documents and reports vital signs. Reports abnormal results immediately to the registered nurse. - Assist patients with activities of daily living - Assist patients with blood glucose monitoring - Notifies appropriate licensed personnel when a patient complains of pain. - Receives and carries out instructions accurately and promptly.
