Job description

The Supervisor of Security Response in a hospital oversees the team responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role manages emergency situations, coordinates security operations, and ensures compliance with all safety protocols. The supervisor also provides leadership, training, and support to security personnel. Leadership and Supervision: - Respond to, de-escalate and investigate situations reported to Security in accordance with hospital approved methods as required. Alert appropriate individuals of security matters while maintaining confidentiality of involved parties to the degree possible without putting others in harm. - Assist in the effective hiring of Security Representatives and participate in the training process for shift specific duties and post. - Assigns and monitors staff work and work schedules according to Department Policy. - Maintain appropriate data on employee attendance for payroll. - Monitors the performance improvement program with the department. - Ensure that shift goals and objectives are administered and consistent with the Director's expectations. - Demonstrate ability to coach and mentor staff; e...
