Job description

Schedule: Full Time, days - 8:30am - 5pm (flexible) rotating weekends, and evening shifts Main Function: The Recreation Therapist is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing therapeutic recreation and activity programs for residents in a skilled nursing environment and Alzheimer’s Memory Unit. The goal is to enhance residents’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being in accordance with individualized care plans, facility policies, and state/federal regulations. The Recreation Therapist also supervises recreation therapy volunteers and residents in collaboration with the Recreation Therapy Manager and the Director of Volunteers to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures. Qualifications: - Demonstrates skill in coordinating activities, managing others, and has the ability to share information with appropriate audiences. - Develop individual care plans with measurable goals - Complete initial and ongoing recreation/activity assessments for all residents. - Implement large and small group activities as scheduled on a monthly calendar. - Transporting residents to all activity programs. - Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings - Exhibits...
