Shift Details Per Diem (as needed) with varied hours (7 am - 11 pm) and varied days. Includes weekend and holidays. Rotational weekend coverage and some holidays. Per diems are required to be available/work a minimum 4 shifts per month, of which 2 days are weekends, based on unit needs. Job Description: Educates and assists breastfeeding mothers and families to foster a successful breastfeeding experience. Provides direct and indirect patient care as well as serving as a resource for other members of the healthcare team. Ensures implementation of effective family-centered breastfeeding program by ongoing collaboration with pediatricians, neonatologists, obstetricians, and nursing staff; promotes breastfeeding and educates the community in prenatal and postpartum periods. Provides physical and psychosocial support, education, and discharge planning during childbirth hospitalization.
