Job Description Machine Operator – Decatur, IL: ADM Spiral Manufacturing Full-Time, Hourly Position Days / Hours of Operation: Starting Pay Rate: $27.96 / Hour (Technician 3) Spiral Manufacturing has an opening for a dedicated machine operator technician. This role would be approximately 95% production work focused on operating a mostly automated machine used for converting roll-stock materials into folded flat sheets. These sheets are used to create spiral wound filters in the next stage of the process, so they must be safely produced with both precision and speed. The folding machine is a complex piece of equipment that typically requires six months or more of dedicated training to run efficiently and a knack for on-the-fly troubleshooting. When running efficiently, the operator’s job is highly repetitive but still requires constant attention. In addition to operating the equipment, the technician is expected to learn every aspect of the machine’s preventive maintenance and how to effectively perform minor repairs (not for energized components).
