HVAC Mechanic

Department: Plant Services Schedule/Status: Varies; Full Time: Standard Hours/Week: 40: General Description: Under the direct supervision of the Plant Operations Manager, the HVAC Mechanic repairs refrigeration equipment for preserving food, making ice, cooling water, and HVAC functions of the building Requirements: - Has the knowledge and ability to use the required tools to complete assigned tasks safely. Has the knowledge of using the correct tool for the job. Acquire/returns tools to the correct locations in good operating condition. - Observes good housekeeping practices. Cleans up work area after each task. Keeps work area, shop and vehicles neat and organized. - Provides and consistently gives cooperative and courteous service to visitors, patients, staff, vendors and co-workers as part of the organization’s commitment to quality services. Practices good team work with all in the shop. - Locate/Order appropriate parts/supplies for repairs and maintenance activities as needed. Follow up on orders for arrival times. Once orders received, ensure parts get taken to appropriate storage locations. Ensure unused parts/supplies and tools get stored back in appropriate locations. - F...
