Assistant or Associate Professor, Tenure-Track Faculty Position

Description The Department of Surgery, within the Section of Surgical Sciences, is recruiting an open rank, tenure track faculty member on the Investigator Track at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. The successful applicant is expected to develop an independent research program and apply for extramural grants. No formal teaching is expected. The research area is open, but we do have preference for health services research in organ transplantation, or surgery more broadly, intervention research, health disparities, or bioethics. Applicants should have a PhD or DSc (or equivalent) and a record of scholarship in health services research and/or bioethics, skills in collaborating across disciplines, and a strong commitment to team-based research. This successful individual will be dedicated to collaborating with the Director of Surgical Outcomes Research and Director of Transplant Outcomes Research to help build those research portfolios. S/he/they will be expected to establish or continue her/his/their own independently funded research program (R01 or equivalent).
