Role: Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Department: Vehicle Fleet Management: Location: Eastwood, Rotherham: Salary: £32,613 - £37,020 (plus a market rate supplement of 5%) Hours: 37: Contract Type: Permanent: As s qualified Motor Vehicle Body Repairer you will be capable of carrying out a high standard of damage repair, refurbishment and painting of police vehicles and plant. Key responsibilities: Carry out repairs of damaged vehicles to a high standard, assess damage and prepare costings Advised Command Team on repair viability when required. Diagnosis and repair of faults on police vehicles, plant or equipment using manufacturers in house electronic diagnosis equipment. Where necessary attend incapacitated vehicles at the roadside or vehicle base and recover or repair same. Strip & repair accident damaged fleet using modern methodology. Work at any of the Police workshops on a short- or longer-term assignments, as indicated by Vehicle Fleet Management. Attend training courses, both technical and personal development either in-house or at manufacturers’ premises occasionally requiring overnight stay.
