Description The NYU Affiliated Psychiatry Service at Bellevue Hospital is recruiting per diem psychiatrists for its Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (“CPEP”). The position offers participation in a vibrant multidisciplinary environment serving the psychiatric needs of New Yorkers. Bellevue Hospital is an integral part of New York City’s Health and Hospitals, the nation’s largest municipal health care system with the largest public psychiatry service in the country. It is the primary psychiatry and addictions training site for NYU medical students, psychiatry residents, fellows and psychology interns, and serves as a site for innovative multidisciplinary clinical research. General responsibilities: Provide psychiatric and medical care to all assigned patients in collaboration with nursing staff, other disciplines, and consultants from other services when applicable. Adhere to appropriate clinical documentation to ensure compliance with current standards of clinical practice and adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
