Professor of Practice in Art (Glass and 3D Tech) Start Date: August 16, 2026: The Department of Art at Hartwick College invites applications for a full-time (75% teaching/25% tech work), two-year renewable appointment at the rank of Professor of Practice in Art starting in August 2026, pending final administrative approval. We seek candidates with expertise in glass blowing and other hot and cold glass techniques, with preference given to those with expertise in ceramics, metalshop, and/or woodshop. Minimum qualifications include a Master of Fine Arts degree (or equivalent) by the time of the appointment. Teaching load will average 12 semester credit hours or their equivalent per academic year in Glass, and 3 credits of teaching within Hartwick’s FlightPath First-Year General Education Program. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching. Attendance at department meetings will be expected; participation in Admissions events would be desirable.
