This employee is primarily responsible for developing and implementing structured music therapy sessions, therapeutic goals in a musical setting. Work is performed under the direction of the Program Director. POSITION OVERVIEW: - Provides therapy through music for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) - Responsible for developing structured music therapy sessions and implementing therapeutic goals in a musical setting - Develop, maintain, and implement a planned program of Music Therapy, including special events - Order and maintain an active inventory of equipment - Provide initial, periodic, and annual evaluations for residents in therapy and/or not currently receiving music therapy - Ensure the safety of the individuals is maintained at all times.
