Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Hanover, PA 17331Job Shift: DayResponsible for operating the horizontal pressure sterilizing retorts, hydrostatic, and the FMC Sterilmatic cookers. Operates the horizontal pressure sterilizing retorts, hydrostatic, and FMC Sterilmatic cookers with minimal supervision. Loads and unloads retorts when required. Sterilizes and cooks product according to Quality Assurance specifications. Determines that process indicator paint has been properly applied and verifies that indicator paint has turned color (pink to white) indicating that the product has been properly cooked. Responsible for physically lifting up to 100 pounds. Keeps area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices. Adheres to common safety practices and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required. Adheres to the Company’s plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity. Reports any mechanical and/or safety issues to Supervisor immediately.
