Job Description The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) reports directly to the Commissioner and oversees financial operations, budget, performance management, and general administration for an agency of over 5,900 employees, a $1.6 billion annual operating budget, and a $34 billion, 10-year capital program. Closely coordinating with the Commissioner and First Deputy Commissioner, the CAO will represent the agency to OMB, City Hall, and city, state, and federal partners on all financial, budget, and hiring matters. The CAO directs over 535 employees in seven agency divisions: Budget and Capital Program Management (BCPM); Grants and Fiscal Management (GFM); the Agency Chief Contracting Office (ACCO); Audit Bureau; Human Resources and Facilities Management (HRFM); Analytics & Performance Management (APM), and Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITT).
