SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Resident provides distributive and clinical pharmacy services in a professional and competent manner to assure rational and appropriate drug therapy for all patients while completing the requirements in the Pharmacy Resident Manual. STATUS: Full time: DEPARTMENT: Pharmacy: ATTRIBUTES: Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills with an excellent attention to detail Required Licensure/Certification Skills: New York Pharmacist Permit or Pharmacist License. RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the hospital medication distribution system and is able to provide assistance to system users. Able to function independently and without supervision. At a minimum, processes work at a rate that meets the needs of the department, the patients, and the institution. Demonstrates knowledge of all relevant departmental, organizational, and federal laws, policies, and procedures. Performs tasks at a level of accuracy consistent with department expectations.
