Position Summary The High School/Dual Enrollment Child Development Teacher provides rigorous instruction in Child Development to high school students enrolled in a dual credit course aligned with an approved college partner. This position ensures that curriculum, instruction, and assessment meet both high school graduation requirements and postsecondary academic standards. The teacher fosters a college-ready learning environment while supporting adolescents in the study of child growth, development, family systems, and early childhood education principles. Duties & Responsibilities: Instruction & Curriculum: - Deliver college-aligned Child Development curriculum in accordance with the partnering institution’s standards and course syllabus. - Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect college-level rigor while remaining developmentally appropriate for high school students. - Integrate research-based instructional strategies and differentiated instruction. - Maintain pacing, content coverage, and assessment standards required for dual enrollment credit. - Incorporate experiential learning opportunities, projects, and applied practice when appropriate.
