Job Responsibilities: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Knowledge of custodial methods and procedures preferred. Internal applicants must call HR at ext. 11653 to determine eligibility before applying. - Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc. - Maintains facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning, and replacement of equipment and furnishings - Disposes of trash, waste, and other disposable materials. - Handles various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc. - Dusts furniture, light fixtures, window sills, etc. - Empties trash containers daily. - Wet mops floors in all patient and staff rooms daily. Damp mop all corridor floors, lobby, and others daily - Cleans wash basins, mirrors, and commodes daily. - Reports any needed repairs immediately to manager. - Washes windows as scheduled. - Strips and recoats all floor areas when necessary and as scheduled. - Completes all other duties as assigned.
