MISSION STATEMENT: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. FUNCTION OF POSITION: The Divisional Director of Development provides strategic leadership and oversight for all fundraising efforts across the State of Alaska. This role is responsible for coordinating and guiding development staff, ensuring effective support and consultation is provided to all Corps within the Division. Key areas of responsibility include public relations, annual giving, major gifts, grant writing, volunteer engagement, assisting THQ with planned giving, and both digital and direct marketing initiatives. As a supervisory position, the Divisional Director leads the Community Relations Department, fostering collaboration, alignment, and a unified approach to advancing the organization’s mission.
