Position Description: deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Senior System Safety Engineer to support the SHIELD Project Office. The candidate will directly work with program directors and product managers to ensure system safety through rigorous engineering methods and technical expertise. Candidate will support multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams to develop solutions that support developmental, test, and operational goals. Candidates should be self-motivated, possess strong written and verbal communications skills, and support or lead the following events: - System safety engineering activities across all phases of missile system development, integration, test, production,, and fielding. - Hazard analyses including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA). - Ensuring compliance with MIL-STD-882E and other applicable DoD and Army safety standards. - Safety Assessment Reports (SARs), Safety Verification Plans, and Risk Acceptance documentation. - Collaborate with design, test, and integration teams to embed...
