Description The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Hematology/Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation seeks full-time faculty members at any rank who specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents and young adults with hematologic malignancies, and the care of children who are pediatric cancer survivors. The appointees are expected to develop or enhance a clinical and/or translational research program focused on the pediatric cancer survivor population. Specific areas of focus may include but are not limited to exploring the determinants of care outcomes, consortia lead clinical trials, and prevention and management of long-term toxicities of chemoradiotherapy. Significant clinical research resources are available to support the successful candidate. Clinical locations of care and responsibilities may evolve based on the patient needs and the direction of the Section. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity.
