Job description

The Global Security Directorate at Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is seeking candidates for a Nonproliferation Research Scientist. This directorate has diverse research projects concerning nuclear material science and operations, nuclear processing activities, collecting and measuring environmental samples, nonproliferation monitoring, and improving analytical methods in support of such activities. SRNL is seeking to grow external funding in these focus areas and scientists/engineers interested with serving as principal investigators on these focus areas. The successful candidate will be lead multiple research projects and develop new proposal concepts in support of these focus areas. - Planning and overseeing the safe execution of the work or technical activities. - Developing research proposals with new research ideas to bring new work scope and funding to SRNL for yourself and your team members. - Communicating task requirements, project status, risks, and outcomes to team members and sponsors. - Managing financial aspects, scope performance, and reporting of project activities. - Ensuring the accuracy and acceptability of publications, reports, and presentations prio...
