Job description

The Nursing programs (BSN and soon-to-launch MSN-ETP) within the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) at Butler University invites applications for a Department Chair. This position's start date is as early as July 2026. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is expanding programs to include a Master of Science in Nursing Program- Entry to Practice (MSN-ETP) to its newly launched Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Both programs are a professional degree that has initial accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission. Additional accreditations will be sought from the Indiana State Board of Nursing prior to program launch, and CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) in Fall 2028. This position is a full-time, 12-month, faculty appointment with administrative duties in the College. This position may be tenure track or non-tenure track, depending upon the candidate’s qualifications. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience and qualifications at the time of hiring, but a minimum of associate professor qualifications is required.
