This doctoral level professional provides individual psychotherapy, expert diagnostic assessment, case coordination, and case management. Couples, family or group psychotherapy may also be provided. Standardized psychological testing may be performed but is not a core component of this job. The Psychologist is expected to have skills and abilities with a wide range of moderate to severe psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, psychosis, and sequelae of traumatic stress. Multicultural competence is essential. This position functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team and provides clinical leadership for other staff members and for trainees working with the team.
