Overview This is a non-supervisory procurement position, reporting to the Supervisor of Information Technology (IT) Procurement as part of the IT Finance and Procurement group. The functions include sourcing items such as computer hardware, computer software, Licensing Agreements, and IT Professional Services. IT Procurement, working together with the Materials Management Organization, is seeking a candidate that will be responsible for all aspects of IT Materials Management and supplier interface. This is a full time, on-site position currently located in Groton, CT at the Poheganut office. Responsibilities: - Assist with development and implementation of procedures to guide technology sourcing - Demonstrated agility in dynamic and evolving environment requiring a shift in priorities - Respond to internal requisitions for technology products and services in accordance with existing company and departmental policies - Manage supplier relationships and act as primary point of contact to ensure continuity of technology goods and services - Develop and execute negotiation strategies to achieve financial savings and mitigate company risk - Responsible for bid development, cost/price an...
