Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the RN provides holistic, patient- and family-centred nursing care to individuals with life-limiting illnesses. The RN assesses patient needs, develops and implements individualized care plans, evaluates outcomes, and supports patients and families in meeting their physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs. Working within an interdisciplinary team and guided by the standards of the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives, the RN promotes comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients receiving palliative care.
