Job Description: - With your PhD thesis you bring life into technology by developing automated isolation, enrichment and library preparation techniques from diverse clinical specimens which are relevant for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) analyses in the field of precision medicine. - You examine the current state of the art for isolation, enrichment and library preparation techniques and identify preferred methods capable of covering diverse biological samples. - Based on this, you independently design and realize an innovative system for automated preparation with the selected technologies in a microfluidic environment. - Furthermore, you create and integrate reliable quality and quantity checkpoints into this multistep process pipeline. - Last but not least, you carry out this thesis in close cooperation with a highly interdiscip...
