Description Department: Machining: Summary: Plans, sets up, and operates typical machine shop equipment and tools to machine raw steel and castings to print into usable parts for Demco products Primary Duties: Machinist description is intended to define in general terms the most significant duties of a particular position and is not all inclusive of all duties or responsibilities of individual positions. Position descriptions are not intended to exclude the possibility of temporary assignments or the alteration of existing positions. - Sets up and operate machines to create parts to print - Accurately use a full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection before and during production - Ability to identify a problem and make adjustments accordingly - Keep accurate counts on parts - Be self motivated to meet order deadlines - Communicate with employees in the department as well as with employees in other departments - Performs other duties as required Qualifications/Experience: - Team player with good interpersonal skills - Detail oriented for accuracy - Basic math skills for accuracy in part count - Knowledge of speeds and feeds rates - Knowledge of the trad...
