Job Summary: Provides comprehensive primary care services independently to essentially healthy women in accordance with approved and recognized standards for midwifery practice according to the Standards for the Practice of Midwifery developed by the American College of Nurse-Midwives and within the clinical guidelines for midwifery practice developed by Prisma Health and the Department of OB/GYN. This care is provided in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. Provides care to women with selected medical complications in collaboration with Obstetricians-Gynecologists according to established clinical practice guidelines. Accountabilities: CLINICAL MIDWIFERY CARE: 1-A: OUTPATIENT/AMBULATORY OBSTETRICAL SERVICES: *Provides comprehensive clinical care services independently to essentially healthy women during the antepartum and postpartum periods. *Evaluates patients, performing complete history and physical examinations and develops a treatment plan for pregnancy and birth. *Orders and interprets appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests as indicated according to patient's condition and develops appropriate treatment pl...
