The Core Desk Coordinator assumes responsibility for the daily management and efficient coordination of the surgical case load, staffing availability, and OR room start times and room turnover. The Core Desk Coordinator provides direct and indirect care to assigned patients and supervises assigned personnel. Moreover, the incumbent formulates and implements individualized plans of care and evaluates patients’ response to care and treatment. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS: Creates and assesses the daily schedule to plan optimal staff utilization and functioning of the operative schedule. Maintains effective lines of communication with all necessary personnel and surgical services departments.
