Overview: ***2nd shift, M-Fri, 3pm - 11pm*** Plans and performs required machine operations to maintain dies, fixtures, gauges, tools, jigs, machines and equipment. Responsibilities: - Designs, constructs, maintains, alters, checks, and repairs dies, fixtures, gauges, tools, jigs, machines, and equipment. - Ability to analyze specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualize products to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts. - Trains, mentors, supports, and maintains strong internal communication within the tool and die department. - Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations. - Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, shaper, and grinder, to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications. - Examines standard or previously used dies, tools, jigs and fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part to improve tool life or performance. - Develops specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draws or sketches design of product. - Performs close and exact...
