Used Equipment Inspector

Job description

Overview The Used Equipment Inspector is responsible for inspecting potential trade, consignment, purchase and rental fleet retirement machines. This position has full ownership and accountability for accurate and complete visual inspections (wear points, damage, undercarriage measurements, oil sampling etc.) and functional testing for basic operations on heavy equipment. Responsibilities: - Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC. - Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment. - Travel independently to customer sites to inspect used equipment for potential purchases, trades, and consignments utilizing CAT Inspection Software. with full responsibility for accuracy and completion of duties. - Perform contracted inspection for extended warranty purchases (EPP) on customer owned machines. - Perform contract inspection for Caterpillar financial inventory. - Inspect rental fleet retirement machines using CAT inspection software - Photograph machines to produce clear, high-quality images for marketing and resale purposes - Operate equipment safely and effectively as p...
