Job Summary: The Yard Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily operations at their assigned location. This position ensures efficient, safe, customer-focused yard operations while supervising personnel and resources, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and optimizing performance to meet operational goals. Supervisory Responsibilities: Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of direct reports Directs assigned tasks and provides assistance as needed Recruits and interviews prospective employees and chooses the best applicant based on skills, knowledge, and abilities required for the job Provides orientation and training for new employees Communicates expectations, coaches for improvement, and handles discipline and termination of employees as needed according to policy Essential Job Functions: Responsible for the oversight of all daily operations at their assigned yard Maintain and monitor clean and organized yard areas ensuring safety and efficiency with sufficient parking and layout, proper lighting, and resolve issues as they arise Complete yard checks of empty, loaded, and sanitized trailers scheduling for cleaning and coordinate with othe...
