Position Overview: - Department: Med Surg Stepdown - 4 South Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available: - Full-Time Days, 3 12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm - Full-Time Nights, 3 12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - Full-Time Weekend Nights, 2 12-Hour Shifts, Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham - Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do: Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. - Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. - Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. - Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. - Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
