SHIFTS: Rotating (days and/or evenings; weekends and holidays required) HOURS: Per Diem (hours cannot be guaranteed and vary based on departmental need) POSITION SUMMARY: The Food Service Aide performs a variety of food service assignments to provide meals and service to customers. Duties may include the preparation of food items, cashiering, cleaning and sanitizing according to department procedures. This position maintains a clean and sanitary work environment and stocks assigned areas with supplies. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read, write, and speak English is required. EXPERIENCE: Prior related experience preferred but not required. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury.
